Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to start an Internet business.

It requires very little set-up work and gives you a proven product to promote from day one.

To give you an idea of what affiliate marketing is, here is a brief description

Basicly you enter into an agreement with a product owner to recommend their product or service to your own contacts, and/or place advertisments online or offline and any sales made from your recommendation result in you receiving a percentage of the profit from that sale.

These product recommendations could range from a "One Off" payment for an infoproduct, to a recurring payment for a service (known as Residual Income).

The latter is very desireable because from that one recommendation you'll receive continuous payments, usually monthly for work you have only had to do just one time.

Each additional sale will increase you monthly earnings and enough sales would eventually add up to an occupation replacement income, and then some.

Most every product or servive available on the Internet has an affiliate program so you'll have a huge selection to choose from, be careful here as there are some dubious programs out there.

The best way to choose a product to promote is one that you have purchased yourself that you have found to be of good quality and value.

These can be infoproducts, tools or services that you know and use in your own business as you'll know them and can make an honest recommendation from your own experience.

On the Internet as you don't meet your prospective customers face to face, your reputation is everything so don't be tempted to recommend a product you haven't had any experience with just because the commissions are high,

if the product isn't of good quality your customer will not be pleased with their purchase and will remember it was you who made that recommendation.
